Madison Beer covers $3,500 rent for struggling Singapore nail salon
American singer-songwriter Madison Beer has made headlines in Singapore for her generous act of covering the $3,500 rent for a struggling nail salon. The 25-year-old singer, in town for her August 22 concert at the Singapore Expo Hall 7, visited Edens' Atelier Co, a nail salon located in Aljunied, after her nails were "breaking and falling apart."
The salon's owner, Hazel Wah, 21, shared on Instagram how Beer’s visit led to an unexpected and substantial act of kindness. Wah had taken a "huge leap of faith" by moving into a larger studio space, only to be left with significant financial strain after being abandoned by a former business partner. Despite assistance from friends and her fiancé, Wah was still struggling to meet the salon's financial demands.
During Beer's second visit to the salon, Wah discussed her financial difficulties while chatting about inflation. To Wah’s surprise, Beer transferred $3,460 to cover the salon's rent without any prior mention. Wah shared her astonishment, stating, "I was seriously just in awe that she was even giving me a chance to do her nails, I still can't comprehend the fact that she paid for my rental!"
Madison Beer’s gesture has drawn admiration from Wah's followers, some of whom began following the salon’s page after Beer's promotion on her Instagram Story. Many praised Beer as "an angel" for her unexpected kindness, with Wah herself expressing deep gratitude, remarking, "I truly used up all the luck I had in me."
Beer’s visit and act of generosity have also brought increased attention to the salon, providing a much-needed boost for the young business owner.
