Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif pledged to bring those who attack police to justice as she visited Rahim Yar Khan on Saturday to boost the morale of police officers.

Maryam Nawaz visited Sheikh Zayed Hospital, where she met with officers injured in an attack by dacoits in the Kacha area.

She offered prayers for the recovery of the wounded officers, including Waseem Arshad, Bilal, Farooq, Nabeel Shahzad, Zahid, Saeed, and Muhammad Ayub.

The chief minister also met with the parents and families of the injured officers.

During her visit, injured constable Bilal expressed his determination, saying, “Our spirits are high. Once I recover, I will fight again. We will continue to combat the enemies of peace.”

Maryam Nawaz praised Bilal, calling him a source of pride. She emphasised, “Police officers are like our own brothers and sons; I consider their pain as my own. We will not spare those who carry out such attacks.”

On Thursday, a police van in Rahim Yar Khan was attacked with rockets, resulting in the deaths of over 12 policemen and causing multiple injuries.
