On July 6, Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) was announced to be visiting Korea for the first time in 14 years, setting the stage for a highly anticipated listening party for his and Ty Dolla $ign’s second album, 'Vultures, Volume 2.'

As expected, the event, held on August 23, sold out and attracted a host of celebrities, including NewJeans’ Minji, Hanni, and Danielle.

Their attendance at the 18+ concert, however, sparked mixed reactions online, with many expressing concern over the idols’ association with Ye due to his controversial past, including allegations of antisemitism.

Photos and videos circulating online show the NewJeans members mingling with fellow artists, including 2NE1’s CL and Minzy, in a VIP area.

However, their appearance at the event has sparked mixed reactions from fans and netizens alike. Some fans expressed concern over the idols' association with Kanye West, given his history of controversies and alleged antisemitism.

Fans of the group posted on X, "Get them away from him, I’m so serious" and "Why are they at Kanye West’s party of all people?" reflecting the unease among some fans.

Despite the polarized opinions, the possibility of a NewJeans x Kanye collaboration has certainly piqued interest, showcasing the global reach and impact of both artists.
