‘Transforming Pakistan’: Activist to go on hunger strike

Akhtar urges government to table an anti-corruption bill.

ISLAMABAD:
A businessman and political activist, Raja Jahangir Akhtar, announced on Friday that he would launch a campaign against ‘rampant corruption’ by staging a ‘hunger strike unto death’ on September 12.


Addressing a press conference, Akhtar urged the government to table an anti-corruption bill, besides calling upon all political parties to include in their manifestos a point to make Pakistan progressive, peaceful, liberal and democratic country.
