Terror continues to reign supreme in the region as unknown miscreants attacked the police party in Lakki Marwat, leaving one cop dead while the second escaped miraculously on Friday morning. The incident was reported at the Machin Khel area next to the bus stop in Lakki Marwat district, the police reported.
The policemen were riding back from duty from the Chehlum ceremony at the local imambargah when the gunmen on another motorbike open fire at them.
The shooting resulted in the death of a constable, while his colleague escaped unhurt despite falling off the bike.
The district has cordoned off the area, took the body of the police constable to the district headquarter hospital.
Just a few days ago On August 19, another policeman embraced martyrdom when his group was attacked in the Bargi police jurisdiction of the area. At the time, Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemned the attack.
He paid rich tribute to Constable Nisar Khan, who lost of his life as a result of the brazen assault.
