The internet is abuzz with fan speculation over an alleged love triangle involving Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes, and Sabrina Carpenter. The drama reportedly began when Mendes and Carpenter were rumored to be dating in early 2023, with sightings of the pair together in Los Angeles and at various events, including Miley Cyrus' album release party and Vanity Fair’s Oscars after-party.

Despite Mendes' denial of the relationship in an interview with RTL Boulevard, fans remained skeptical, recalling how he had previously downplayed his romance with Cabello before they went public. However, the focus shifted back to Cabello in April 2023 when she and Mendes were spotted rekindling their relationship at Coachella, sparking rumors of a renewed romance.

Fans have since speculated that Cabello may have sent Mendes provocative messages while he was allegedly still involved with Carpenter. These rumors gained traction after Cabello released her song "June Gloom," which included suggestive lyrics that fans believe were directed at Mendes. The lyrics, “If she’s so amazing why are you on this side of town / Does she get this wet for you, baby?” have fueled discussions online.

Adding to the speculation, Carpenter's song "Coincidence" from her album "Short ‘n Sweet" contains lyrics that fans believe reference Mendes' actions during this period. The lines, “Last week, you didn’t have any doubts / This week, you’re holding space for her tongue in your mouth / Now she’s sendin’ you some pictures wearin’ less and less,” suggest that Mendes may have been engaging with Cabello while still in a relationship with Carpenter. One fan commented, “All this could’ve been avoided if Shawn told Sab that he didn’t move on from Camila but here we are” (via @thekingkristi1 | X).
