A young man's body was discovered floating in the water in Dobandi Haru, Haripur, with a fatal blow to the head, sparking a mystery over his identity.
A herdsman alerted local residents, who informed the Khanpur police station, after which the body was retrieved and taken to Khanpur Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Despite efforts, no identification documents or personal belongings were found, making it challenging to determine his address or notify his heirs.
Due to the lack of a morgue facility at the hospital, the body could not be preserved for long.
After a waiting period, local residents performed funeral prayers, and the young man was laid to rest in the Khanpur cemetery.
