A letter has been written to the finance department for funds. The local council is responsible for the protection of stray dogs under the Local Government Act 2013. The district administration should also be directed to support.

The court adjourned the hearing for six weeks while ordering to continue the drive against stray dogs.

KMDC result withheld

A two-member bench of SHC headed by Justice Salahuddin Pahnor heard the petition against the withholding of examination results of the student of Karachi Medical and Dental College (KMDC) and disposed of the plea on the basis of Karachi University's response.

Usman Farooq advocate of the petitioner took the stand that the student Tuba Anwar got admission in Karachi Medical and Dental College in 2019. The student suffered a serious accident in 2019 which affected her memory. The student appeared in annual examinations in 2020, as well as supplementary exams 2021. KMDC released an admit card for annual exams in 2022. However, the results of the student were not released.

University of Karachi Examination Department submitted the reply, mentioning that the principal of KMDC had declared the student Tuba Anwar disqualified. The dean of the medical faculty set up a committee to look into the matter. The committee declared the student's 2022 examination results final. The committee had recommended the release of the student's examination results. On the recommendation of the committee, the vice chancellor of the examination department directed to release the mark sheet of the student. The mark sheet was issued to the student on May 6.
