In a recent chat with Tracy Ann from Masala!, Hania Aamir opened up about her Insta-famous bond with singer-rapper Badshah and her deep love for Bollywood.
Hania and Badshah have become quite the dynamic duo on social media, charming followers on both sides of the border with their lighthearted and genuine interactions. The two initially connected on Instagram, and their friendship blossomed from there, rooted in their shared commitment to being authentic and happy. "We became friends through Instagram DMs and we've maintained our friendship because of our mutual love for remaining as authentic as possible," Hania shared.
When asked about the much-talked-about chemistry between them, Hania described it as "carefree and happy," adding with a smile that their connection is effortless because they "click on so many levels." For the Mere Humsafar actor, the secret to their strong bond lies in three things: their dedication to keeping it real, their shared commitment to authenticity, and their mutual ability to find joy in the simple things in life.
But Hania's love for all things real doesn't stop at her friendship with Badshahit extends to her passion for Bollywood (Shah Rukh Khan in particular). Reflecting on her earliest memory of Bollywood, Hania fondly recalled watching Badshah (the film, not the rapper) on repeat, courtesy of her mom's cassette collection. "I've watched it a little over 25 times," she admitted with a laugh. A true Bollywood enthusiast, Hania counts Om Shanti Om, Ram Leela, Tamasha, and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani among her top picks. She's particularly drawn to stars who keep it authentic, citing Anushka Sharma as a standout for her genuine nature and strong character.
When it comes to romance, Hania isn't one to shy away from a little dreamy idealism. Though some might say that Bollywood sets up unrealistic expectations, she firmly believes in the magic of love. "Being hopeful should be a way of life," she said, defending the emotion-packed narratives Bollywood is famous for. "Such films have only enabled people to emote, and that, I think, is beautiful. When it comes to romance, it should be as magical as an SRK film," she declared, fully embracing her inner romantic.
