The Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) has annulled the Screening Test for the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2023, which was held on August 10, 2024.

This decision comes after a meeting by the commission on Thursday detailed analysis revealed that only a small number of candidates managed to achieve the required threshold of 50% marks.

The SPSC, in a meeting held on August 22, 2024, at its regional office in Karachi, discussed the implications of the test results.

The commission expressed concerns that if the results were allowed to stand, there might not be enough successful candidates to fill the vacant posts in the subsequent stages of the examination process.

To address this issue, the SPSC has decided to reconduct the Screening Test for CCE-2023.

The commission urged all candidates to put in extra effort to meet the required standards in the upcoming test.

In the original test, 27,060 candidates applied and were scheduled to appear across various centres in Karachi, Sukkur, Hyderabad, and Larkana.

The commission's decision to reconvene the test aims to ensure a fair selection process for all candidates.
