Mohammad Rizwan has secured his place in an elite club of Pakistani wicketkeepers by scoring a brilliant 171 against Bangladesh in the ongoing Test match.
Rizwan's exceptional innings, compiled from 239 deliveries, makes him the fifth Pakistani wicketkeeper to score 150 or more runs in a Test match, joining the ranks of Imtiaz Ahmed, Taslim Arif, Rashid Latif, and Kamran Akmal.
This achievement is particularly notable as Rizwan is the first Pakistani wicketkeeper-batsman to reach this milestone since 2009.
His innings has been instrumental in putting Pakistan in a commanding position, with the team amassing 448 runs with the loss of six wickets, declaring after the completion of 113 overs.
Rizwan’s ability to navigate the Bangladeshi bowling attack and capitalise on scoring opportunities has been crucial in establishing Pakistan’s dominance in this Test match.
