Pakistani actor and singer Junaid Khan recently revealed a troubling incident from his career, where he was compelled to slap fellow actress Sanam Saeed during the filming of a drama scene.

The revelation came during Junaid’s appearance on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast, where he reflected on the moment he considers the worst of his career.

Junaid recounted that the incident took place in 2012 during the shooting of the drama series Mata-e-Jaan Hai Tu.

The script required him to slap Sanam in a scene. Initially, Junaid was hesitant to deliver a real slap, but the director, Mehreen Jabbar, insisted that the scene needed to appear authentic.

Despite his reluctance, Sanam herself insisted that he deliver a real slap to enhance the realism of the scene.

Junaid shared that during the first take, he hesitated and slapped her lightly, but the director demanded a reshoot, leading him to strike Sanam harder in the next take.

Junaid expressed regret over the incident, stating that while it was part of the shoot, it left both him and Sanam uncomfortable.

He later apologised to the actress, considering the moment as the most difficult in his career.
