Paulo Dybala, the Argentina international is close to finalising a highly profitable transfer to Saudi Arabia, having agreed to join Al-Qadsiah.
The Argentine forward is set to sign a three-year contract valued at €75 million (£64m/$84m), according to Sky Sport Italy. His agent is scheduled to meet with Roma officials to discuss his departure. Roma must now decide whether to accept the expected €3 million offer from Al-Qadsiah, hold out for a higher fee, or keep Dybala for the remaining year of his contract.
The 30-year-old World Cup winner, who joined Roma on a free transfer from Juventus in 2022, has scored 34 goals in 78 matches for the club. Recently benched for Roma’s season opener against Cagliari, Dybala was subbed in for the final 20 minutes of the 0-0 draw.
The five-time Serie A winner is hoping for a resolution between Roma and Al-Qadsiah that will allow him to move to the Saudi Pro League, where Al-Qadsiah is set to face Al-Fateh on Friday.
