The cause of death for TikTok star Kyle Marisa Roth has been officially determined.

According to Maryland’s Chief Medical Examiner, Roth, aged 36, passed away due to cardiac arrhythmia caused by myocardial fibrosis, which refers to an irregular heartbeat resulting from scarring on the heart muscle. The death has been classified as natural, as confirmed by Page Six.

Roth’s toxicology report indicated the absence of alcohol in her system. However, the report did detect the presence of diphenhydramine, a widely used antihistamine, along with mitragynine, an alkaloid often employed for pain relief.

The news of Roth’s passing was first reported by TMZ on Tuesday. The TikTok star’s mother, Jacquie Cohen Roth, shared the heartbreaking news of her daughter's unexpected death on LinkedIn back in April.

In her post, Jacquie wrote, “She touched some of your lives personally and some of your lives via her immense life on another platform,” adding, “Kyle loved and lived fiercely. Nothing makes sense now and we’ll understand more in the next few days. Be kind to one another please.”

Roth’s sister, Lindsay Roth, also expressed her grief, stating, “I know she touched so many people with her humor, intelligence, beauty, gossip activism, athleticism and more – she had so many gifts.”

Julia Fox, star of "Uncut Gems," also commented on Roth’s death, despite not having met her personally. Fox stated, “I really felt like I knew her. I’m so devastated and have been crying ever since the news leaked on TikTok. I really hope she did it [sic] suffer and I hope she knew how much she touched our lives. She was a ray of sunshine and I will miss her deeply.”
