IHC summons CCTV in kidnapping case
The court observed the incidents of disappearances are similar to those during the previous regime
ISLAMABAD:
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday summoned CCTV footage from the authorities in a case seeking recovery of two brothers of PTI activist Azhar Mashwani.
Hearing the case, Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb remarked that the FIA, interior and defense ministries had expressed ignorance about the missing persons.
The court observed the incidents of disappearances are similar to those during the previous regime. Justice Miangul Hassan remarked the court has to view the matter as per the law and Constitution. He hoped that the missing persons would be recovered soon with the help of the attorney general of Pakistan.
