Former chief minister of Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi avoided responding to media questions as he appeared before the Special Judge Central in a money laundering case.
Despite multiple questions from the press, Elahi deferred to his legal advisor, stating that he would handle all queries.
When asked about his current situation, with a reference to Shehbaz Sharif's previous appearances in similar cases, Elahi, with a smile, remarked, "Tell Shehbaz Sharif to come and sit on this chair now."
He added that he was present in court to comply with its orders, despite his deteriorating health, which he mentioned is gradually improving.
The Special Central Court adjourned the proceedings until September 19.
Elahi is one of the accused in the money laundering case, while the Federal Investigation Agency challan has declared eight others, including former minister Moonis Elahi, as proclaimed offenders.
