Beyoncé Knowles has ventured further into the country music scene with the launch of her new whiskey brand, SirDavis, under the LVMH luxury empire. The move could edge the superstar closer to billionaire status, a title already held by her husband, Jay Z, who made significant gains in the alcohol industry. Beyoncé announced the launch on Instagram, sharing an image of herself holding a glass of whiskey, captioned "DAVIS IN MY BONES."
SirDavis, which features a distinctive ribbed glass bottle encased in leather, carries a logo inspired by the horse Reneigh, featured on Beyoncé's "Renaissance" album cover. The brand's tagline, "The future of whiskey is here," was trademarked by Moët Hennessy, a subsidiary of LVMH, in June.
While the specifics of Beyoncé's stake in SirDavis remain unclear, the potential success of the brand could significantly impact her net worth, estimated at $760 million as of May. This figure is built on her illustrious music career and other business ventures, including her now-defunct Ivy Park line, a collaboration with Balmain, and her production company, Parkwood Entertainment.
The launch of SirDavis aligns Beyoncé with other celebrities who have found success in the alcohol industry, including her husband, Jay Z, who made $300 million from selling half of his Ace of Spades champagne brand and $750 million from selling a majority of his D'ussé Cognac stake to Bacardi. A 750ml bottle of SirDavis is priced at $89.99, with shipments expected to begin in September.
