RAWALPINDI:

The Rawalpindi district administration has been ordered to immediately clear the city of illegal encroachments.

Rawalpindi Division Commissioner Engineer Aamir Khattak has said they are a great source of corruption and exploitation of public rights as money collected is not submitted in government account nor being used in any public welfare project.

The commissioner directed the additional deputy commissioner to monitor the operation and ensure that illegal stands are removed from the city within three days. He said along with their lists, municipal corporations should cater for the data provided by special branches and points indicated in public complaints.
