Beyoncé and Jay-Z were seen enjoying a rare date night in New York City on Sunday, August 18, 2024. The superstar couple dined at the alfresco restaurant Lucille, with Beyoncé, 42, embracing a 1970s-inspired look in green patterned trousers and a matching headscarf by Pucci. She paired the outfit with a striped green bag, an oversized blazer, and black sunglasses, completing the ensemble with a long platinum blonde braid. Jay-Z, 54, opted for a sporty look, wearing a blue and black tracksuit and white trainers.
Their outing comes as Jay-Z prepares to relaunch his iconic 40/40 Club in New York. The music producer had attended a pop-up event for the club earlier in the evening before joining his wife for dinner. According to Us Weekly, Jay-Z is actively involved in finding a new location for the club, which originally closed its Manhattan doors in August 2023 after 20 years. "Jay definitely wants to keep it as part of his legacy," said Sheldon Robinson, the club's vice president of operations.
Beyoncé's appearance also follows her recent success in the music industry, as she received 12 nominations for her album Cowboy Carter at the upcoming People's Choice Country Awards. The album, released in March 2024, has been widely acclaimed and topped various music charts, including the Billboard 200.
