Karachi is likely to remain cloudy with drizzle and light rain persisting over the next 24 hours, according to Sardar Sarfaraz, chief meteorologist at the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

Sarfaraz noted that the low-pressure system causing the recent rain has left Sindh. "There will be a chance of cloudy skies, drizzle, and light rain in Karachi now," he said.

The PMD chief also warned of another monsoon system that may impact lower Sindh, including Karachi, from August 26 or 27.

For upper Sindh, Sarfaraz predicted rain on August 21.

In Karachi, today’s minimum temperature is expected to be 28°C, while the maximum could reach 30°C to 32°C, according to the PMD. The department also reported an 81% humidity ratio, with winds blowing from the southwest at 17 kilometres per hour.

Regarding claims of a record-breaking 300 millimetres of rainfall in Sukkur, Sarfaraz refuted them as "wrong," stating that only 116mm of rain was recorded in 48 hours. Nearby Rohri received 134mm.
