Four-time Grand Slam singles champion Naomi Osaka is candidly sharing her experience with childbirth and its impact on her plans for future pregnancies. In a recent TikTok video, the 26-year-old tennis star addressed a comment about her being pregnant, stating that while she's not currently expecting, she wouldn't want many more children if she were. Osaka described giving birth as "traumatic," expressing gratitude for the well-wishes she received.

This isn't the first time Osaka has opened up about the challenges she faced during her pregnancy and after welcoming her daughter Shai in July 2023. She previously spoke about the difficulties of being unable to train and travel as she normally would, as well as the physical and emotional toll of pregnancy and childbirth. In an interview with InStyle, Osaka revealed complications such as testing positive for Group B streptococcus and enduring a 12-hour labor. She emphasized the importance of discussing the realities of pregnancy, highlighting that it's not always the "beautiful journey" it's often portrayed to be.

Since becoming a mother, Osaka's perspective on health and wellness has shifted significantly. She recently shared with PEOPLE that it's no longer solely about physical fitness but also about feeling strong, focused, and happy in all aspects of her life. Motherhood has taught her the importance of self-care and prioritizing her own well-being.

Osaka's openness about her experiences sheds light on the often unspoken challenges of pregnancy and childbirth. Her honesty resonates with many women who have faced similar difficulties, fostering a more open conversation about the realities of motherhood.
