Suspects blackmail victim with video

Police have registered a case against three men on the charge of sexually assaulting a teenage boy and blackmailing him by recording his video to extort Rs30,000 from him.

According to the report registered to the police on the complaint filed by the victim's father, a resident of Baluani, his 16-year-old son went to a ground last month to play, from where Aleem Khan, Waqar Ali and Ali Mehtab of the same area forcibly took him to a nearby place and sexually assaulted him. The suspects also blackmailed the boy by recording a video of the assault and extorted Rs30,000 from him.

The victim had kept his ordeal hidden from his family.

On Saturday, Muhammad Khan and Ahmed Khan came to the victim's father and told him that Aleem and Waqar had his son's obscene video, upon which he asked his son about the incident.

The boy told his father that the assaulters had threatened to share the video on social media if he did not pay them money.

The Jhumra police registered a case against

the nominated suspects under sections 376 and 292C and launched raids to arrest them.
