John Abraham calls India unsafe for women, children, and animals

The Bollywood actor's remarks followed the brutal rape and murder of a 31-year-old doctor in Kolkata

Bollywood star John Abraham has voiced concerns over the safety of women, children, and animals in India, stating that the country is no longer safe for them.

In a recent interview, John Abrahim urged men to recognise their responsibility in protecting women in society.

John, known for his action roles, emphasised that men need to understand that women are not objects but deserve respect.

He asserted that by honouring women, men also protect their own dignity.

The actor further called on those who love India to criticise its flaws and not remain silent in the face of ignorance.

He declared that he believes women, children, and even animals are not safe in India.

Commenting on the slogan "India is great," John said that simply chanting this phrase is meaningless unless people also raise their voices against the injustices happening in the country.

He expressed his love for India but made it clear that he would not hesitate to criticise the ignorance that exists within it.

John Abraham also expressed a desire to bring about social change in India, particularly in elevating the status of animals.

He criticised the lack of laws protecting animals and highlighted the insecurity faced by women and children, challenging anyone to dispute this issue.

His comments come in the wake of the Kolkata rape case, where a 31 year old doctor was found dead after being brutally raped and murdered in West Bengal's capital.
