At UFC 287, he successfully bet $500,000 on Adesanya to defeat Alex Pereira, securing a significant payout. However, his $300,000 bet on Jorge Masvidal at the same event did not pay off. This time, Drake has staked $450,000 on Adesanya to reclaim the UFC middleweight title from Du Plessis.
