ISLAMABAD:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has moved the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to obtain the record of the National Accountability Bureau's (NAB) decision to wind up the 190 million pounds reference.

The PTI founder also challenged the trial court's order dated August 12 in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) and also filed a miscellaneous plea to stay the ongoing trial in the Accountability Court.

The former prime minister adopted the stance that as per the statement of the investigating officer, the 343rd executive board meeting of the NAB held in April 2020 had given approval to close the case. The trial court had rejected the plea seeking record of the NAB's board meeting.

The petitioner stated that the investigating officer had admitted certain facts with regard to the NAB's board meeting during the arguments; therefore, it was necessary to produce the meeting's record before the trial court.
