Tom Cruise is reportedly "irritated" by recent comments made by his ex-wife Nicole Kidman regarding their past marriage. According to a source quoted by In Touch, the "Mission: Impossible" star is bothered by Kidman’s references to their relationship, which ended over two decades ago. The actress discussed their time together in a recent interview, reflecting on whether their film "Eyes Wide Shut" drew inspiration from their romance.

"Tom doesn't understand why Nicole seems to constantly reference the times they shared together," the source told In Touch. Despite acknowledging that Kidman’s comments were largely focused on their work, the insider noted that it still bothers Cruise because it’s a chapter of his life he has long moved past.

The source further explained that Cruise finds it frustrating that Kidman continues to speak about their past, especially as she is now happily married to Keith Urban. "He’s said goodbye to that chapter of his life so long ago and doesn’t understand why she can’t do the same," the insider added.

Kidman and Cruise were married in 1990 and adopted two children, Isabella and Connor, during their relationship. The couple divorced in 2001, and both have since remarried—Kidman to Keith Urban in 2006, and Cruise to Katie Holmes, with whom he split in 2012.

The source also suggested that Kidman’s marriage to Cruise played a significant role in her rise to stardom, stating, "Her star power was at its peak when she was with Tom." However, the insider claimed that Cruise feels used by Kidman’s willingness to discuss their past when it suits her.

Cruise’s strained relationship with his biological daughter, Suri Cruise, was also highlighted, with reports indicating that his devotion to Scientology has created distance between Suri and her older siblings, Isabella and Connor, who are also followers of the church.
