Police arrest suspected hitman in Dr Shahid Sadiq murder case

Dr Shahid's son, Qayyum, allegedly arranged his father’s murder, striking a deal with the shooters for RS 16 million.

The Organised Crime Unit (OCU) of Lahore police has arrested the main suspects involved in the murder of PTI founding member and private hospital owner, Dr Shahid Sadiq.

The police have apprehended the hired assassins, identified as Shehryar and his accomplice Sajjad, and have begun their interrogation.

According to the police, the murder plot was orchestrated by Dr Shahid's son, Qayyum, who allegedly struck a deal with the shooters for RS 16 million to carry out his father's assassination.

The OCU team, acting on Qayyum Shahid's information, initially detained four individuals before successfully capturing the shooters.

The case against Dr Shahid's murder was filed by his other son, Taimur, leading to the recovery of the vehicle used in the crime.

The investigation has revealed that the primary suspects, Shehryar, his father Sajjad, and uncle Shahid, were all involved in the murder.
