Blake Lively's old interview resurfaces amid It Ends With Us drama—Rude behavior and body-shaming

The drama surrounding It Ends With Us has reignited old controversies involving Blake Lively, including a notably rude interview from 2016.

The film, based on Colleen Hoover's novel, has stirred controversy not only due to Hoover’s personal issues and alleged cast conflicts but also because of Lively's handling of the film's promotion. 

She faced backlash for launching her new hair care line alongside the film’s release and for a sarcastic response to survivors seeking support, which left many feeling that her response was dismissive.

Adding to the scrutiny, Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, has also been criticized for inaccurately claiming credit for a key scene in the film, overshadowing the actual screenwriter, Christy Hall. This isn’t Lively’s first run-in with problematic press; a 2016 interview from her Café Society promotion has resurfaced.

In the 2016 interview with journalist Kjersti Flaa, Lively reacted negatively to a congratulatory comment about her pregnancy, seemingly body-shaming Flaa. 

During the interview, Lively and her co-star Parker Posey disregarded Flaa’s questions about the film’s costumes, focusing instead on their own discussion about the men’s costumes, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere.

Flaa’s re-uploaded interview highlights the rudeness Lively and Posey displayed. Many viewers defend Flaa, noting that her questions were appropriate and that Lively’s behavior was unacceptable.
