The impressive bowling display came at the Islamabad Club, where play was curtailed by poor light.

By the end of the abbreviated day's play, Pakistan Shaheens had reached 2 runs without loss in their first innings, with Saim Ayub remaining unbeaten on 2 runs.

The day's play was delayed due to a wet outfield, limiting the overs to 46.3.
