ISLAMABAD:

The NDMA alerted the authorities on Monday against the risk of flash floods because of hill torrents in the Dera Ghazi Khan and Rajanpur districts and heavy downpours in Bahawalpur, Lodhran and adjoining areas.

The NDMA alert was issued as the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecast more rain in Kashmir, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa(K-P), Punjab, Islamabad, northeast Balochistan, southeast and upper Sindh and Gilgit-Baltistan during the next 12 hours.

An NDMA news release said that medium level flash flooding was expected during the next 12 hours.
