Drake’s latest release, "100 GIGS," has quickly made waves on streaming platforms, much to the delight of fans who were eager for more music after a UMG takedown on Instagram.

The new tracks, including "It's Up" featuring Young Thug and 21 Savage, have been met with enthusiasm, with "It's Up" emerging as the top new rap debut of the weekend alongside "Blue Green Red," accumulating 2.01 million streams on its opening day on Spotify.

However, the success of "100 GIGS" has also reignited a familiar rivalry among fans, particularly between Drake’s supporters and Kendrick Lamar’s disciples.

As expected, both sides took to social media, with some fans of Drake dismissing the notion that his career was ever in jeopardy, while others couldn’t resist gloating over the latest Spotify stats.

In addition to the music, Drake fans have been buzzing about a potential rift between the rapper and NBA star LeBron James.

After Team USA’s men’s basketball team clinched the gold medal at the 2024 Olympics, Drake and his bodyguard Chubbs congratulated several players, including Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, and Jayson Tatum – but conspicuously left out LeBron James.

This omission has fueled further speculation about tension between the OVO camp and LeBron, though neither party has addressed the rumors directly.

Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar continues to see commercial success as well, with his diss track "Not Like Us" now holding the title of the most streamed diss track of all time.

While the rivalry between Drake and Kendrick remains a hot topic, both artists seem to be focused on their individual careers, with fans eagerly awaiting their next moves.

As "100 GIGS" continues to rack up streams, it will be interesting to see how these new tracks fit into Drake’s discography and how the ongoing fan debates evolve.

For now, it’s clear that both Drake and Kendrick Lamar are firmly cemented in the upper echelons of the rap game, each with their own devoted following.
