Drake has once again made headlines, but this time it's not just about music.

The Toronto rapper has extended his influence into the world of sports by helping to save Venezia FC, a historic Italian soccer club.

The club, which has been around since 1907 and plays in the Serie B division, was on the brink of bankruptcy. Faced with financial difficulties, Venezia FC's owner, Brad Katsuyama, reached out to Matte Babel, Drake's Chief Brand Officer and a close friend, for assistance.

According to TMZ Sports, Katsuyama laid out the club's dire situation, needing to raise ten million euros within weeks and another thirty million euros in a few months to avoid dropping down to Serie D.

With Babel's help, and Drake's involvement, they managed to secure a $40 million donation from North American investors.

This substantial financial boost has not only saved Venezia FC but also paved the way for new talent and facilities, with plans expected to be realized by the 2027-2028 season.
