Latto releases album 'Sugar Honey Iced Tea,' featuring Megan Thee Stallion, Ciara and more

Latto has officially dropped her third studio album, Sugar Honey Iced Tea, following her recent feature in a Billboard cover story. 

The album highlights her continued growth as an artist and her strong ties to her hometown of Atlanta.

Sugar Honey Iced Tea features collaborations with several prominent artists, including Ciara, Coco Jones, Hunxho, Young Nudy, Teezo Touchdown, Megan Thee Stallion, and Mariah the Scientist. 

The album was produced with the assistance of longtime collaborators Pooh Beatz and Go Grizzly, blending elements of trap, Atlanta bass, R&B, and old-school hip-hop. 

This release marks the progression in Latto's career since her previous album, 777, which was released in 2022.

The years between 777 and Sugar Honey Iced Tea have been significant for Latto, including two Grammy nominations, one of which was for Best New Artist. 

She also achieved a Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper with "Seven," a collaboration with Jungkook. In addition, Latto's personal life has seen notable changes, including purchasing a new home and starting a new relationship.

Earlier in 2024, Latto set the stage for this album with high-profile collaborations, including "A-Town Girl" with Usher and "Can't Get Enough" with Jennifer Lopez. 

The release of "Sunday Service," a single that was later remixed with Megan Thee Stallion and Flo Milli, added to the anticipation for Sugar Honey Iced Tea. 

Both the original and remixed versions of "Sunday Service" are included as bonus tracks on the new album, alongside the original and remix versions of "Put It On Da Floor," which featured Cardi B and peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Latto’s new album follows her 2022 release, 777, which peaked at No. 15 on the Billboard 200, fueled by the success of the single "Big Energy." 

Latto first entered the Billboard 200 with her 2020 debut album, Queen of da Souf, which produced her first Hot 100 entry, "B-tch from da Souf" (No. 95). To date, Latto has charted eight songs on the Hot 100, including the top-ten hits "Seven" and "Big Energy."
