‘My moral responsibility’: Bushra Ansari defends ex-husband amid criticism

Veteran Pakistani actress Bushra Ansari recently opened up about her stance on defending her former husband, Iqbal Ansari, against criticism.

During a recent appearance on a private TV channel's morning show, where she was joined by her daughter, Bushra discussed various aspects of her career, personal life, and her relationship with her ex-husband.

Bushra Ansari expressed that she does not tolerate anyone speaking negatively about Iqbal Ansari and promptly intervenes if someone tries to do so. She shared that people often make unfair comments about her ex-husband, labelling him as harsh or a bad husband, and attributing their failed marriage to these perceptions.

"I believe it's my moral responsibility to stop people from saying anything against Iqbal Ansari," Bushra stated.

"If someone tries to say something negative about him in my presence, I immediately shut it down."

She went on to highlight that Iqbal Ansari is the father of her daughters and has always been a supportive and loving parent, standing by them through thick and thin. Despite the challenges in their relationship, she emphasized that he has never abandoned his daughters.

Bushra also addressed the public's tendency to make judgments and comments on social media, pointing out that such remarks are not only unhelpful but also inappropriate. The actress stressed that whatever issues existed between her and Iqbal were personal, and no one had the right to speak ill of him.
