Travis Scott arrested in Paris for intoxicated altercation with his bodyguard

Renowned American rapper Travis Scott was detained in central Paris early this morning following a confrontation with his own bodyguard, according to local media reports.

The renowned American rapper, Jacques Bermon Webster, was apprehended by police at the George V Hotel in Paris's 8th arrondissement, according to French news outlet Valeurs Actuelles.

The incident took place around 5 a.m., only a short distance from the Champs-Élysées.

French outlet Le Parisien reports that police were summoned to the hotel due to “acts of violence against a receptionist.”

A police source revealed that the rapper was under the influence during the incident. 

Scott is currently in Paris for the Olympic Games and was spotted the previous evening, August 8, at the men's basketball semi-final between Serbia and the United States.

This follows the rapper's arrest in Miami in June, where he was involved in a “disturbance on a yacht.”

When questioned by police about his drinking, Scott responded, “It's Miami.”

He addressed the night's events with a set of playful tweets to reassure fans about his upcoming tour, along with a modified version of his disheveled mugshot taken right after his arrest.

Scott later posted 'lol' on X and shared his booking photo, which had been edited with added sunglasses and headphones, on Instagram Stories.
