Civil-military leadership lauds Arshad Nadeem's record-breaking performance in Paris
Arshad Nadeem's historic gold medal win at the Paris Olympics has garnered widespread congratulations from President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, leaders of the armed forces, and other national leaders.
President Zardari lauded Arshad Nadeem for his record-setting javelin throw, describing it as a monumental feat that brought honor to the entire nation. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also praised Nadeem, highlighting the immense pride his victory has instilled in Pakistanis.
Leadership of the Armed Forces of Pakistan, along with the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and the Services Chiefs, also extended their warmest felicitations, celebrating Nadeem's achievement as the first Pakistani athlete to win an individual gold medal at the Olympics.
They praised his dedication, perseverance, and hard work, which serve as an inspiration to the entire nation.
Other prominent figures, including National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, Senate Chairman Yusuf Raza Gilani, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, and Pakistan People's Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, acknowledged Nadeem's exceptional skills and dedication.
They emphasised the significance of his 92.97-meter javelin throw, which set a new record and brought immense pride to the country.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori also joined the celebrations, with Chief Minister Shah noting the pride in Nadeem's victory over India. Governor Tessori remarked that Pakistan's 40-year wait for an Olympic gold medal has finally ended.
Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab, representing the Sindh government, announced a 50 million rupee reward for Nadeem and a grand ceremony to honor him upon his return to Pakistan.
Arshad Nadeem's victory has brought immense pride and joy to Pakistan, cementing his status as a national hero and a symbol of sporting excellence.
