Pakistan fast bowler Naseem Shah has urged the national team to learn from past mistakes and unite as a cohesive unit.
Speaking at Islamabad Club on Thursay, Shah emphasised the need for the team to play collectively and improve from previous shortcomings, acknowledging recent struggles but noting that such phases are common in cricket.
Shah also addressed his personal return from injury, stating the importance of fitness in international cricket and his commitment to performing well. He highlighted the necessity of maintaining high fitness levels while representing the country.
Shah has been named in the 17-member squad for Pakistan's upcoming two-Test home series against Bangladesh, marking his return to red-ball cricket after a 13-month absence due to a shoulder injury sustained during the 2023 Asia Cup.
The series will commence with the first Test in Rawalpindi from August 21-25, followed by the second Test in Karachi from August 30-September 3.
