China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning has said that China-Pakistan energy cooperation is based on extensive consultation and joint contribution for mutual benefit, and adheres to market principles and commercial rules.
In a statement, Mao highlighted that energy projects completed under the CPEC had significantly alleviated Pakistan's energy shortages, reduced electricity costs, and spurred the country's socio-economic development.
We believe that with the joint effort of both sides, China-Pakistan energy cooperation will continue to be a success, and deliver more to our two peoples, she said.
