Chappell Roan had the biggest Lollapalooza set of all time
Chappell Roan's already massive summer has just gotten even bigger.
A Lollapalooza spokesperson told CNN, “Chappell’s performance was the biggest daytime set we’ve ever seen. It was a magical moment added to Lolla’s DNA.”
Roan, the Gen Z pop sensation who has seen a rapid rise this summer with her 2024 single "Good Luck Babe!" climbing the charts and her 2023 track "Feminomenon" gaining viral traction on social media, took the stage on Thursday at the opening day of Lollapalooza in Chicago.
A post on X from Lollapalooza's official account stated, “It’s Chappell’s world and we’re just living in it,” accompanied by a photo of the huge crowd at Chicago's Grant Park.
Although the precise attendance for Roan's set is unknown, a Lollapalooza spokesperson informed CNN that the festival drew 110,000 people daily this year.
According to two sources familiar with the singer and the festival, the crowd at Roan’s performance matched or exceeded that of many headliners and is thought to be the largest set in Lollapalooza's history worldwide.
