Monsoon winds from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea continue to impact Sindh, with heavy rainfall and thunderstorms expected in Karachi on Monday.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a monsoon alert indicating that these weather systems are influencing the region, bringing the likelihood of significant rainfall.

On Sunday, Karachi experienced overcast skies throughout the day, with thick clouds relieving the heat and making the weather more pleasant.

Light rain and drizzle occurred in some areas during the night. Keamari Town recorded 4 mm of rain, while Shahrah-e-Faisal saw 1 mm.

The PMD's alert highlights that the ongoing monsoon winds from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea are affecting Sindh, leading to the forecast of heavy rain in Karachi on Monday.

In addition to Karachi, various districts in rural Sindh may also experience moderate to heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds.

On Sunday, the maximum temperature in Karachi was recorded at 33.3 degrees Celsius, with humidity levels reaching 76%.

The weather conditions are expected to persist, with increased rainfall likely to cause disruptions in the city and surrounding areas.

Residents have been advised to stay informed about the weather conditions and take necessary precautions to avoid potential hazards associated with heavy rainfall and thunderstorms.
