A man has been accused of sexually assaulting his sister-in-law after blackmailing her with an indecent video recorded with the help of his accomplices.
The police have registered a case and are carrying out raids to arrest the suspect.
According to the police, the victim, a resident of Nankana Sahib, stated her complaint filed with Jhang Bazaar police that she was living with her husband at her in-laws' house.
The complainant said she had been married since 2013. Four months ago, while she was taking a bath at home, her brother-in-law, Faisal, recorded her video and started blackmailing her with it.
Three months ago, while her husband was away for work, her brother-in-law entered the house and showed her the inappropriate video on his mobile phone, threatening that if she made noise, he would share the video on the internet.
The complainant stated that the suspect continued to blackmail and sexually assault her for some time. He also extorted two tola of jewellery and Rs85,000 from her to delete the video.
According to the victim's statement, on Friday, her brother-in-law kidnapped her and took her to the factory of Muhammad Arshad located on Sargodha Road. There the accused along with Ahmed Aslam, a resident of Okara, sexually assaulted her. The suspects held her captive in the factory for four days.
The Jhang Bazaar police registered a case against the suspects nominated by the complainant under Section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code and launched a hunt for them.
