Amid her celebrations after clinching gold in the individual all-around gymnastics final at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Simone Biles seemingly took a jab at former President Donald Trump.

This latest win marks the sixth Olympic gold medal of Biles' illustrious career.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Friday, Biles reflected on her achievement, responding to a comment from singer-songwriter Ricky Davila, who praised her accomplishments.

"Simone Biles being the GOAT, winning Gold medals and dominating gymnastics is her Black job," Davila wrote. Biles echoed the sentiment, tweeting, “I love my Black job.”

The comment appeared to reference recent statements made by Trump, who claimed that immigrants in the U.S. are "taking Black jobs."

Trump reiterated these claims at the June 27 presidential debate and again at the National Association of Black Journalists convention in Chicago earlier this week.

"I will tell you that coming from the border, are millions and millions of people that happen to be taking Black jobs," Trump said at the convention.

When pressed to explain his remark, Trump added, "A Black job is anybody that has a job. That’s what it is. Anybody that has — they’re taking the employment away from Black people. They’re coming in, and they’re coming in, they’re invading."

At the same convention, Trump also faced backlash for questioning Vice President Kamala Harris' identity as a Black woman.

"She was always of Indian heritage, and she was only promoting Indian heritage," he said to the audience.

"I didn’t know she was Black until a number of years ago, when she happened to turn Black, and now she wants to be known as Black. So I don’t know, is she Indian or is she Black?"

Harris' campaign quickly responded, condemning Trump's statements and calling his hostility "simply a taste of the chaos and division" that his campaign seeks for a second term in the White House.
