RAWALPINDI:

The Head of Consular Operations at the British Embassy in Islamabad Friday visited the Adiala Central Jail and discussed the matter of consular access to British prisoners and the challenges faced by diplomatic personnel during their visits to the prison. Sources within the prison reported that special security measures were implemented for the visit of Head of Consular Operations, Albert David.

On his arrival, the British Consul was warmly welcomed by the DIG Prisons Rawalpindi.

The meeting addressed the difficulties encountered by diplomatic staff when providing consular services to British inmates.
