CM condoles loss of lives in rain

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of lives due to electrocution and collapse of roofs during torrential rains.

The CM expressed sympathies and condolence with the bereaved families.

She also issued directives to provide the best treatment facilities to the injured persons.

The CM also commended the administration and WASA officials on completing water drainage within a few hours despite the torrential rains. She lauded the performance of the commissioner, deputy commissioner, WASA and allied staff members.

“Draining rainwater within a span of a few hours from the city is a remarkable and splendid performance. The WASA and other institutions worked with great dedication and diligence for facilitating the people.

Hopefully, our institutions will create ease and comfort for the masses through their excellent performance in future as well.”
