Nessa Barrett has released the music video for her latest single, “Passenger Princess,” featuring Love Island USA star Rob Rausch. The song is the first single from Barrett's upcoming sophomore album, Aftercare.

Directed by Aerin Moreno, the video showcases Barrett donning a pink wig, a leather bralette, and a mini skirt as she sings in the passenger seat of a convertible driven by Rausch. The video features intimate moments between Barrett and Rausch, with Barrett singing lyrics such as, “I’m your shotgun/ Baby, for the long run/ Don’t you know, I’d die for you?/ I ride for you.”

Rausch gained popularity during season six of Love Island USA, particularly for his involvement in a love triangle with Leah Kateb and Andrea Carmora. His appearance in Barrett’s video marks a crossover between reality TV and the music industry.

Barrett’s debut project, Young Forever, released two years ago, included hits like “Tired of California” and “Die First.” Since then, she released her EP, Hell Is a Teenage Girl, in 2023 and has toured internationally. In an interview with Billboard, Barrett discussed the challenges of transitioning from a social media personality to a music artist. “Everyone online isn’t fully the person that they are on social media. So when people start to branch out and do new things or follow a dream of theirs, it’s kind of confusing for people and it’s hard for them to accept,” she explained. “Just because you have an audience and a big platform, it doesn’t mean you don’t grow and change like anyone else. That’s part of life.”

“Passenger Princess” is set to pave the way for Barrett’s forthcoming album, promising more of her evolving musical style.
