Tom Cruise, the "Top Gun: Maverick" star, is reportedly gearing up for a spectacular stunt during the Closing Ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

According to Deadline, Cruise, 62, will literally “drop in” when the Olympic flag is handed over to the 2028 host city, Los Angeles.

Sources reveal to TMZ that Cruise plans to rappel from the top of Stade de France, land on the stadium field, and carry the official Olympic flag.

However, due to safety concerns, Cruise might use a stunt double for the rappelling segment.

The outlet also reports that Cruise’s journey to Paris will be broadcast on TV as part of the Closing Ceremony festivities.

In an elaborate sequence, the "Mission: Impossible" star will be shown flying with the Olympic flag from France to Los Angeles.

In a pre-recorded segment, initially taped in March, he will skydive to the Hollywood sign.

Currently, Cruise is in Paris, having been spotted in the crowd supporting gymnast Simone Biles as she won another gold medal.

While details of the Closing Ceremony remain confidential, it's confirmed that LA Mayor Karen Bass will receive the Olympic flag from Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo.

A source teased to Deadline, “Expect a major Hollywood production.”

The Opening Ceremony set a high bar, featuring contributions from Steven Spielberg, Lady Gaga, and French metal band Gojira.

The spectacle included teams arriving on boats on the Seine, parkour performances, and even a resilient Celine Dion performing despite her neurological disorder.

The event also sparked controversy with a tableau parodying the Last Supper, criticized by comedian Rob Schneider.

The Closing Ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics will take place on Aug. 11 at 7 p.m., hosted by Mike Tirico and Jimmy Fallon on NBC, alongside NBC Sports’ Terry Gannon and former Team USA Olympians Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski.

The 2028 Summer Olympics will be held in Los Angeles from July 14 to 30.
