KARACHI:

The Sindh government has decided to digitise and automate the transport department and commercial vehicle sectors.

The digitisation process for the Transport Department and its subsidiaries, Sindh Mass Transit Authority (SMTA), Provincial Transport Authority (PTA), Regional Transport Authority (RTA), and Trans Karachi, has already commenced.

In the same regard, a meeting was held in Karachi under the chairmanship of Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon.

The minister received a detailed briefing on the digitisation and automation of the transport department and commercial vehicles.

He stated that the PTA is being integrated under a unified software system, which will facilitate the issuance of inter-provincial route permits and streamline the entire process.
