The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) immigration staff arrested three passengers, including an agent, who were trying to go abroad using fake travel documents at the New Islamabad International Airport (IIA).
Officials also recovered fake documents from the passengers’ luggage, which they had obtained from the accompanying agent for more than Rs14 million. They intended to travel to other countries from Saudi Arabia using fake travel documents under the guise of performing Umra.
According to officials, FIA personnel were on duty at the airport when Taseef, Shahroz Ali, Jafar Hussain and the agent, Azhar Hussain who belong to Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin and Bahawalpur respectively arrived at the airport to board a flight to Saudi Arabia on Umrah visas.
