Light rain brings pleasant relief to several areas in Karachi
The port city experienced varying intensities of rainfall on Monday, bringing a pleasant change to the weather on Monday evening.
According to details, light rain was reported in several parts of the old city area, including Garden East/West, Nishtar Road, Lasbela, Albela Chowk, Ramswami, and Shoe Market.
Heavy rain fell in other areas, including Liaquatabad, Federal B Area, and Gulshan-e-Maymar. Light rain was also reported in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Johar, Saddar, Clifton, and Defence.
Meteorologists have stated that a monsoon system has entered Pakistan from Gujarat, India, resulting in thunderstorms and heavy rain in various parts of Punjab and Sindh today.
Earlier, the Early Warning Centre of the Meteorological Department predicted warm and humid weather for Karachi, with partly cloudy skies expected until Sunday.
Over the next three days, light rain, drizzle, and occasional showers are likely to occur.
The maximum temperature during this period is expected to range between 33 to 35 degrees Celsius.
The forecast also indicates that sea breezes will continue to prevail over the city for the next few days, providing some relief from the heat.
Most districts in Sindh are expected to experience intense heat and humidity.
Coastal areas of the province are likely to see light rain, offering some respite from the otherwise hot conditions.
