The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and Tampa Police have announced the arrests of three individuals in connection with the murder of Charles Andrew Jones II, also known as Julio Foolio.

Jones was shot and killed in the parking lot of a Tampa hotel on 23 June 2024. On Saturday afternoon, JSO SWAT, CPR, and Gang Unit members apprehended Sean Gathright, 18, Alicia Andrews, 21, and Isaiah Chance Jr., 21. They are currently held at the Duval County Pre-Trial Detention Centre on murder charges and are pending transfer to Tampa.

Detectives are continuing their thorough investigation of the case. Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters stated, “There’s no place you’ll be able to hide if you commit crime in Jacksonville or any other city in the state of Florida.”

In a tribute to her late son, Julio Foolio’s mother recently got a massive tattoo of his face on her left forearm. The tattoo, done by artist Power, depicts a portrait of the Florida rapper.

Julio Foolio, born on 21 June 1998, gained fame in 2018 with his hit single “Coming Up” and was associated with the hip-hop collective KTA. Despite legal issues and previous shooting incidents, he had a substantial following, with over 900,000 Instagram followers and around 604,000 YouTube subscribers.
